Kids to Kids got off to a great start here in Assam a couple of years ago with the involvement of school children from the Jorhat area who were working with an NGO called Prakriti-Save Nature. Since then, members of the K2K project in Canada have been providing information and photographs about Assam to students at schools in the Comox Valley, as well as to other interested groups in our community.
This February, we invited a group of young people living in the town of Digboi, Assam to come to our house to learn about the Kids to Kids group in Canada, and to talk about creating a similar group in their town. this Since then, we've shared pictures and stories about the lives of the members in Canada, and spent time together getting to know one another. this Kids, their family members and teachers from many of the towns and villages Fertile Ground works in are excited about the prospect of learning more about life in Canada - and |
